The Marktplatz is a location in Shadow of Memories.
Description[]
This is the town square of Lebensbaum, where lot of events happen in there. The place is visitable in all eras.
Prologue[]
2001[]
In this chapter Eike has to go back in time and spread word of the appearance of a street performer. Upon informing locals in the past a crowd will gather in the present in front of a street performer in the Marktplatz.
Chapter 1[]
2001[]
The street performer will remain in the Marktplatz, however after refusing to enter the burning building if Eike returns back to him, he will pass to Eike the Scribners Egg.
Chapter 2[]
2001[]
Dana catches up with Eike to give him back his Lighter and inquire about the Philosopher's Stone. After being killed of by his assassin, Eike returns to the same moment with Dana but this time travels back in time with the Digipad before the assassin can strike - This results in Dana traveling back in time with him.
1580[]
Eike lands in 1580 alone in the middle the Three Maidens attempting to blackmail Margarete Wagner into making them dresses so that they won't have her arrested for her sense of fashion. The women assume Margarete to have summoned the young man, branding her as a dabbler in witchcraft. Soon, a Town's Guard appears at the scene, wondering what all the commotion is about. Wanting to scare off the people, Eike either takes out his Lighter or Cell Phone, which successfully frightens them into leaving Margarete alone.
Depending on your decisions in Chapter 2 the feature in the center of the Marktplatz will differ. If you request the Tree Planter to plant flowers you will get a small statue with flowers. But depending on the item you use on your encounter with the Town's Guard and Three Maidens will change another outcome when requesting for the Tree Planter to put up a statue - The statue will replicate Eike and either be carrying a Cell Phone or Lighter.
Chapter 4[]
2001 - In The Past[]
It is possible to return to an earlier point in time (the same time frame as Chapter 1) wearing the street performers outfit. Where Eike can throw to his past self the Scribners Egg.
Chapter 8 & Epilogue[]
