Biography[]

*SPOILER WARNING: Plot and Ending details follow!*

Early Life[]

Presumably born in 1559 or 1560, Dana was originally named Margarete Wagner and was the daughter of Wolfgang and Helena Wagner. When she was a few months old however, Homunculus swapped her with Dana Brum from 1980, who would go on to be raised under Dana's original identity. His intention had apparently been for Dana to be raised by the Brum family, but he found he couldn't place her where he took Margarete and instead chose to leave her in that year. Dana's life following this is unknown, but she was eventually found by someone who named her, though it is unknown if she was raised in an orphanage or was adopted.

Remaining in the Past[]

Upon meeting Eike in Chapter 8, Dana mentions how content she is with live in this era, she was scared at first but soon figured out that the layout of the city was the same and was taken in to work as a chambermaid at the Lord Manors Building. She also has become romantically involved with a colleague at the Lord Manor's Building and tells Eike to stop looking for her from now on.

It is in this meeting also that she is in possession of the Philosopher's Stone, she was going to model with it for Karl Franssen's Painting (As seen at the end of Chapter 7), but let's Eike have it.

Back to the Future[]

After meeting with Dana in Chapter 8, Eike can convince Dana to come back to the present, this decision leads into Ending E.

A New Fate (Ex. Endings)[]

In an alternate timeline created by a combination of all the timelines, Eike could remember everything he learned from the past timelines, including the fact that he is Wolfgang Wagner and that Margarete is the daughter of Eckart Brum. Using his knowledge, Eike prevented Homunculus from ever being allowed to mess with the timeline by getting the stone before Dana can go to try and find him, thus preventing her from being stuck in the 1580s. In one version he caused Homunculus to come into contact with the Philosopher's Stone, which caused him to be erased form history. In another version of history however, Eike went back to 1580 and helped Wolfgang in creating the elixir of life, thus healing Helena. Both mean that Homunculus can't create Eike, thus erasing him from history. It is unknown what this means for Dana however: if Homunculus wasn't freed or allowed to exist, then Margarete and Dana should have switched places and allowed to grow up in their proper eras.

Quotes[]

Dana: "Sir, please wake up. Are you alright? Do you feel sick or something? Sir?"

Dana: "Oh no, that was alright. Here, you forgot this. It is yours, right? It’s such a gorgeous stone, like a jewel or something. It gives me a funny feeling to look at it. If you made it into a necklace I bet it would look great on a lot of girls."

Dana: "Well, it took a while to get used to. Things only fell into place lately. I looked for you a long time, you know."

Dana: "I even worked at a mill for a while. But now I’m a chambermaid at the squire’s manor house. I feel so content these days. I feel like I should be thanking you."

Dana: "It’s okay. I have no one there, no parents, no family. So I’ll be okay here. No one will worry about me. No one expected anything of me back there. No one was watching, no matter how hard I worked, so there really is nothing for me there."

Dana: "That really sucks, Eike!"

Dana: "I’m so embarrassed. Look at what I’m wearing-I look like a one person Halloween parade."

Trivia[]

  • It is unknown why she is called Dana. It is revealed that Eckart's daughter was called Dana, but since Dana wasn't raised by the Brum's like Homunculus intended, it is unknown how she got that name.
